After Six Years
The Mayor is celebrating six years of Perspective. Today, six years ago, is when rangers found the Mayor in the backcountry of Olympic National Park.

All in a Days' Work
With school starting back up next week, the hobbitlings and the Mayor have been making great progress on treehouses. Here is Ela helping the Mayor begin installing the walls for her treehouse on Monday morning.

Making Progress
This weekend we've continued making progress with fleshing out the treehouses
We're going to finish the treehouses in stages - walls first, then roofsWhile the Mayor worked with various hobbitlings outside, the Hobbit Wife worked with various hobbitlings cleaning and organizing inside. This culminated in an epic shopping trip to fill wardrobe and household gaps, with Eejee taking a classic "guy" approach to long shopping trips.
You know the cleaning insanity has reached a fever pitch when you discover the Hobbit Wife literally laundering money at 9PM on a Sunday night.

Treehouses!
After many years of valiant service, it is time to retire the old play structures. We salvaged what we could of the materials for the new project(s).

More work in progress.
Lunchtime on the Seimi and Eejee treehouses.
Framing started for the Boookie and Ela treehouses. We've had a brief hiatus for other things, but the Mayor and hobbitlings will be resuming work shortly. More to come!
Summer Celebrations
We went to the Tour de Terrace this year and had a great time at the parade...
...on the rides (mostly)...at the carnival games
We also went to Woodland Park Zoo recently to see the new exhibits and just get some summer wiggles out.
Our Boookie turned 13 this month, so we have a teenager now!
Boookie with his new watch, camp chair, and REI membership.
Enjoying root beer floats after a birthday feast.
And even though he's a teenager now, one is never too old for Playmobil Roman ships!
Following on the Roman theme, Grammy gave Boookie the makings of a new legion.
And More July
We recently took what is likely to be our only "camping" trip of the year, setting up tents and GranDma and Apu's resort.
Apu fighting off an abundance of small warriors.
All the hobbitlings were temporarily equipped with oversized sweatshirts for the campfire outside, which necessitated documentation of how grown-up they look.Endings and Beginnings
After having worked out of the Plaza 600 building since 2004, it was time for a change of scenery at the Mayor's office.

The new scenery is the Darth Vader Building.
