Summer Remodel

Immediately after the end of school, we launched into the last phase of the remodel that began in 2006. It started with getting a pod delivered.

Downstairs and two bedrooms moved out into the pod.
With reshuffling of things in the house, WALL-E took over looking after the Hobbit Wife's plants, which were moved out to the shop.
We were all living on top of each other while the remodel was going on.
When the Mayor removed the vent cover in Ela's room, a treasure trove was discovered of things that had been shoved through the slats over the past 15 years. All four of the hobbitlings recognized items of their own handiwork.

Boookie and the Mayor worked together to get everything painted, with Boookie providing a high attention to detail that really helped this paint job turn out well. He even did all the power spraying while the Mayor did cutting in.
Move-in was delayed by a heat wave (112 degrees near our house), so we all retreated to the basement.
Finally, the Mayor and the Hobbit Wife had a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially bring the remodel to a close.
