GGS & GBS Weekend

This last weekend was GGS & GBS Weekend at Michael Delving. GGS, of course, being Grampz Grammy (Auntie) Sexist, and GBS, of course, being Great Big Sea. The Mayor's parents and sister came to visit for the weekend. Grampz and Uncle Matty helped the Mayor tear out one wall of the back bedroom and install two new windows. Grammy and Auntie Sexist helped the hobbit wife by playing with the Boookie and the hobbitling girl. Here's the Boookie opening an early birthday present from Grammy.
And here's Auntie Sexist reading to the Boookie.
Sunday evening, we all went to see Great Big Sea play at Woodland Park Zoo. The concert was nothing special as a concert, but it was fun since we were able to eat dinner, play with the kids, and chat when the on-stage banter got boring.

There's one Great Big Sea song titled "Old Brown's Daughter" that they sang at the end. It's about a guy liking a girl who works in a shop (Miss Brown), and how happy he is when Old Brown is laid up with gout so he can spend more time with Miss Brown. The song used to be about the Mayor and the hobbit wife, but now the Mayor identifies more with the old chap with trouble in his feet.
