Finally!

We here at Michael Delving haven't been slacking off, although one might infer that based on the infrequent/nonexistent posts. After many weeks of prep work and four days of furious painting, Michael Delving looks like a respectable hobbit dwelling at last.
Here's the south side after prep work was finished...
South side primed...
West side prepped...
Priming done...South side painted...Painting mostly completed...
It's nighttime on day four, but the house painting is finished!
Here's what the house looked like when we moved in:
The first morning of being a respectable hobbit dwelling.

Here's the back of the house as of this morning:
Here's Popz hard at work painting:
The Mayor could not have finished the painting without the help of Popz, who gave up a week of vacation to help save our hobbit home from the distinction of being the eyesore of the neighborhood. Uncle Matty volunteered Saturdays, working with no hope of reward except for concert tickets, knives, CDs, and delicious food. Apu came and skillfully pressure washed what portions of the siding that could be safely washed, with no leaks inside. Uncle Andrew...hmmmm...was a great help with painting one morning. Mr. Tander also aided greatly through the loan of painting equipment. The Mayor would also like to thank the Academy...
