Late March Post
For starters, here are some recent events we celebrated, starting with St. Patrick's Day
First Day of Spring! On the last day of winter, we have a tradition of playing a song from "My Little Pony" called Winter Wrap-Up. Here is Eejee watching the YouTube clip, trying to figure out why this is a tradition.
March 20, the Mayor and the Hobbit Wife celebrated 16 years of marriage. Grammy snuck by and left some social distancing-appropriate greetings on the fence.
We celebrated the spring-ish weather with our first BBQ, which of course means breaking out the foam weapons while the grill is going.By the time the hamburgers were ready, Seimi and Eejee had reduced the Mayor to a teeny-tiny LEGO sword.
There has been LOTS of inside time, and here are some snapshots of what we've been up to.
Cooking ahead
Counting bear battles
LEGO Infinity Gauntlet
LEGO spray paint
Bunker battles
Seimi and Eejee watching the LOTR special features. Seeing the creative process broken down, they had to follow along with drawing and creating.
Sermon notes from Seimi - drawing the "Balm of Gilead"
There has been lots of outside time, too.
Workout station set up at the bottom of the driveway while the gym is closed.
Seimi chillin in the sunshine while listening to the ball game on his radio.
Eejee watching the ball game on his TV.
Spring!
Still cold, though!
Boookie teaching Eejee how to ride a bikeThe Mayor got some help from Boookie and Ela to build a new bookshelf for the family room.
Completed bookshelf with a new live-edge TV shelf above it.
The Mayor got the Bunker all equipped for the Nerf Apocalypse, with a brand-new weapons rack.

Mid March Post
It's been a while since the last post and it's been quite eventful. Here's Eejee grinning with his first lost tooth. He got an extra-big payment due to his courage in extracting that first tooth.
Boookie took the position as the tallest person in the household.
The Mayor celebrated his 40th birthday. He was blessed to receive letters from many friends and family.
Here's the Mayor opening the cards from the hobbitlings.
The Mayor got a few things that link him back to childhood, including a genuine Davy Crockett-style coonskin cap
And a genuine pretend Kentucky rifle!
As the winter months have slowly been transitioning to spring, there's been a lot of inside time, which has led to much creativity. Here's Seimi and Lee posing with a freehand LEGO map of the world that Seimi created.
Seimi's LMP-1 car (modeled after the LeMans-winning Toyota LMP-1).
One of the meerkats dressed up as a K-Nex samurai.
Seimi giving Eejee monster-drawing lessons.
Seimi created a bunch of world flags out of LEGOs.
Seimi and Eejee enjoying some clear skies to create and race around a backyard racetrack.
All four of the hobbitlings outside playing some kind of flag-based game.
Ela dressed 75% of the hobbitlings in Greek-inspired costumes.
The Mayor has stayed busy working on a large infrastructure construction project that's happening within walking distance of Michael Delving. The Mayor enjoys being able to gear up and walk to the jobsite.
Inside the rebar cage for one of the large drilled shafts that is being constructed to support the project.
The Mayor has also found some time to build smaller-scale things in his shop.
Here's the finished cabinet, custom-designed to fit the available space while still holding all our cleaning supplies.
Passports for all four hobbitlings arrived this past week, so they are now free to travel the world. The timing was rather amusing, but we know this will all be over at some point and there will be plenty of time for adventures beyond the borders of Michael Delving.
First time attending church virtually.
Virtual (but real) love to all!
