After another weekend of working on the remodel, something else is mostly finished! The Mayor worked on trim work for the hobbitling room. Crown molding and then touchup painting remain, and then the hobbitling room will done!
Here's the real reason the Mayor remodels - here are the tools he gets to use! The only downside is that everything has to be brought upstairs/outside for every project.
And here you see the Boookie helping put his dirty laundry back in the hamper (after pulling everything out and scattering it around his room).

One funny Boookie story: He has a cardboard storybook Bible, and even though it's really thick compared to his other books, he reads it faster than the other books. He flips through the pages, saying "Jesus," (turns page), "Jesus," (turns page), and so on to the end of the book.
